The Minutes of the Meeting of the Rothesay Common Good Fund held on 5^th February 2013 were approved as a correct record.

The Minutes of the Meeting of the Rothesay Common Good Fund held on 21^st February 2013 were approved as a correct record.

The Committee resolved in terms of Section 50A(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, to exclude the public for the following item of business on the grounds that it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 6 respectively of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

Bute Community Links Ltd

Members heard from the Area Governance Manager on an application to the Rothesay Common Good Fund from Bute Community Linkc (BCL) Ltd, to help with the costs associated with the minibus.

Decision

The Committee agreed that the detail contained in the application represents  a unique set of circumstances affecting the organisation, that the provision of the mini bus service is critical and unique on the island of Bute and for the residents of Rothesay in enabling participation in  decision making processes affecting Bute,  that the loss of the service would seriously affect socially excluded groups in Rothesay and that on the basis of all of the foregoing  they agreed to award Bute Community Links the sum of £575 specifically towards the cost of the mini bus repairs.
