Applications for Financial Assistance

The Committee resolved in terms of Section 50A(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, to exclude the public for the following item of business on the grounds that it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 6 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

Bute Marketing & Tourist Ltd.

Minutes:

 

Members heard from the Governance Officer on an application to the Rothesay Common Good Fund from the Bute Marketing & Tourism Ltd to help with costs for a Visit Bute Project Office, Brand Development, Advertising & PR Campaign, Magazine, Website development and monitoring and evaluation.

 

Decision

 

The Committee unanimously agreed to refuse the application due it not meeting the Fund’s Criteria.

Rothesay Army Cadets

Minutes:

 

Members heard from the Governance Officer on an application to the Rothesay Common Good Fund from the Rothesay Army Cadets to help with costs to send 5 cadets to Belgium to visit battlefields from the First and Second World Wars.

 

Decision

 

The Committee unanimously agreed in principal to support this application subject to audited accounts, a constitution and more details costs of the trip being submitted.
