The Committee Manager advised that due to apologies having been submitted by Councillors Kennedy-Boyle and McCabe the meeting was inquorate.  It was therefore, agreed to adjourn and reconvene at a date to be confirmed.

 

The meeting of the Rothesay Common Good Fund was reconvened at 2pm on 12 September 2025.

APPOINTMENT OF CHAIR

Minutes:

The Trustees agreed to appoint Councillor Peter Wallace as Chair for the meeting.

APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

Minutes:

Apologies were submitted on behalf of Councillor Reenie Kennedy-Boyle.

 

The Committee Manager advised that following a decision made by the Council at the meeting on Thursday 21 April 2016, a delegation had been given to the Executive Director with responsibility for Legal and Regulatory Support (or his representative) to determine applications in consultation with Ward 8 Members, and the decision recorded is on that basis.

MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE ROTHESAY COMMON GOOD FUND, HELD ON TUESDAY 4 MARCH 2025 pdf icon PDF 119 KB

Minutes:

The Minutes of the meeting of the Rothesay Common Good Fund held on Tuesday 4 March 2025 were approved as a correct record.

 

The Trustees resolved in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to exclude the press and public for the following items of business on the grounds that is was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 6 respectively of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

FAMILY MEDIATION ARGYLL AND BUTE

Minutes:

The Trustees considered an application submitted by Family Mediation Argyll and Bute.

 

Decision

 

The Trustees agreed to invite the applicant to submit a revised application that limited those involved in the project and to submit additional supporting documentation to be considered at a future meeting of the Rothesay Common Good Fund.
