Minutes:

Members gave consideration to a report detailing the current position of the investment transaction activity for the current period. 

 

Decision:

 

The Campbeltown Common Good Fund agreed to note the statement and the balance of income available.

Kintyre Youth Fund

Minutes:

Members gave consideration to a report detailing the current statement and balance of income available for distribution.  Discussion took place in respect of the reducing balance of the fund and the possibility of re-investing the capital.  The Area Committee Manager agreed to raise the matter with the Council’s Senior Business Support Officer and ask for advice on potential options for the fund. 

 

Decision:

 

The Campbeltown Common Good Fund agreed to note the balance of income available.

The Campbeltown Common Good Fund agreed to award the group £970.00.

Martine Craig & Michelle Leishman

Minutes:

Members gave consideration to the application from Martine Craig and Michelle Leishman.  Discussion took place in respect of the potential of funding from other organisations and also the benefits any such award would bring to the people of Campbeltown.  The Area Committee Manager agreed to write to the applicants requesting further information in this regard.

 

Decision: 

 

The Campbeltown Common Good Fund agreed to continue consideration of the application until the next meeting.

Members gave consideration to an application for the Kintyre Youth Fund from Castlehill Primary School.

The Trustees of the Kintyre Youth Fund agreed to award Castlehill Primary £200.00.

End of Project Monitoring

Members gave consideration to the status of end of project monitoring forms in respect of applications to the Common Good Fund since June 2017. 

 

Decision:

 

The Campbeltown Common Good Fund agreed: 

 

1.    to note the end of project monitoring forms received; and

 

2.    requested that the Area Committee Manager continue to pursue the outstanding forms and provide an update at the next meeting of the Fund.

Request from Campbeltown Former Pupils AFC

Minutes:

Members gave consideration to a request from Campbeltown Former Pupils AFC. 

 

Decision:

 

The Campbeltown Common Good Fund agreed that the surplus funds from the initial award in June 2017, could be utilised towards the costs of the build project. 

8.

Any Other Competent Business

Minutes:

Discussion took place in respect of an email from Kintyre Sea Sports.  Members agreed to note the current position of Kintyre Sea Sports and agreed that should an application be lodged it would be given due consideration.

The next meeting of the Campbeltown Common Good Fund is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 5 June 2019 in Gigha Village Hall, Isle of Gigha.
