Apologies for absence were intimated on behalf of Councillor Rory Colville.

Having noted the absence of Councillor Rory Colville, the Area Committee Manager advised that the Campbeltown Common Good Fund meeting was inquorate and as such was a consultation meeting. 

The Area Committee Manager further advised the remaining Ward 1 Members that  following a decision made by the Council at the meeting on Thursday 25 June 2015, a delegation had been given to the Executive Director of Customer Services (or his representative) to determine applications in consultation with Ward 1 Members, and the decision recorded is on that basis. 

There were no declarations of interest intimated.

The Minute of the meeting of the Campbeltown Common Good Fund held on 5 September 2018 was approved as a correct record.

Members gave consideration to a report detailing the current position of the investment transaction activity for the current period.  David McGregor, Simmers and Co. Accountants was in attendance and provided an overview of the financial statement.

Decision

Members agreed;

i)             to note the statement and the balance of income available;

ii)            to the inclusion of the cash in bank balance on future financial statements; and

iii)           that the Area Committee Manager would investigate options for the banking arrangements in consultation with Mr McGregor.

The Council resolved in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to exclude the press and public for the following 2 items of business on the grounds that it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 6 respectively of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

Members gave consideration to the application from Campbeltown Grammar School.

Decision

Members agreed to award Campbeltown Grammar School £1600

Members noted the thank you letter received on behalf of McCorkindale School of Highland Dancing.

Members agreed that received End of Project Monitoring Reports to be included in future agendas.

The next meeting of the Campbeltown Common Good Fund is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 6 March 2019.
