Minutes:

Members gave consideration to a report detailing the current position of the investment transaction activity for the period.

Members agreed to note the statement and the balance of income available.

Kintyre Youth Fund

Minutes:

Members gave consideration to a report detailing the current statement and balance of income available for distribution.  The Area Committee Manager agreed to seek clarity on how the fund is invested and provide feedback to the Trustees by email.

Members agreed to note the balance of income available.

Common Good Fund Applications (New)

McCorkindale School of Dancing

Minutes:

Members gave consideration to the application from McCorkindale School of Dancing. 

 

Decision:

 

Members agreed to award the group £1,500.00

Kintyre Food Bank

Minutes:

Members gave consideration to the application from Kintyre Food Bank. 

 

Decision:

 

Members:

 

1.    agreed to award the group £1,872.00; and

2.    requested that the Area Committee Manager write to the group, highlighting the criteria in particular that applications would not normally be considered for routine operational costs.

Minutes:

Members gave consideration to the application from Campbeltown and District Juvenile Football Association.

7.

Accountancy Arrangements

Update by Area Committee Manager

Minutes:

The Area Committee Manager advised Members that the contract in place with the Accountant, Efric McNeil of Dunlop and Co, had concluded on 31 March 2018.  She advised that following a successful tendering process, arrangements were now being made to transfer all information to the new Accountants, Simmers and Co.  Mrs Barton advised that Simmers and Co were also the Accountants of the Oban Common Good Fund and spoke of the proposed fee arrangements.

 

Decision:

 

Members:

 

1.    agreed to note the information provided;  and

2.    requested that the Executive Director of Customer Services (or his representative), in consultation with the Chair of the Campbeltown Common Good Fund seek an agreement with the Trustees of the Oban Common Good Fund on a proportionate split of accountancy fees, and report back to the next meeting of the Fund.
