Minutes:

Apologies were received from Councillor Kelly.

 

Having noted the absence of Councillor Kelly, the Area Committee Manager advised that the Campbeltown Common Good Fund meeting was inquorate and as such was a consultation meeting. 

 

The Area Committee Manager further advised the remaining Ward 1 Members that  following a decision made by the Council at the meeting on Thursday 25 June 2015, a delegation had been given to the Executive Director of Customer Services (or his representative) to determine applications in consultation with Ward 1 Members, and the decision recorded are on that basis.

Minutes:

Councillor Colville declared a non-financial interest at item 5(a) South Kintyre Development Trust as he is a Director of the Trust.  He left the room and took no part in the discussion of this item.

The Minute of the Campbeltown Common Good Fund held on 6th December 2017 was approved as a correct record.

Minutes:

The Minute of the Special Campbeltown Common Good Fund held on 21st  December 2017 was approved as a correct record.

The Trustees resolved in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to exclude the press and public for the following items of business on the grounds that it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 6 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

Financial Statement - Accountant

Minutes:

The Trustees considered a financial statement detailing the current position and the transaction activity for the period.

 

Decision

 

The Trustees noted the statement and balance of income available.

Councillor Colville having declared a non-financial interest in item 5(a) South Kintyre Development Trust, left the room and took no part in the discussion on this item.

Common Good Fund Applications

South Kintyre Development Trust - Town Hall

Minutes:

The Trustees gave consideration to the application from South Kintyre Development Trust.  It was noted that there was an agreement in place with SKDT and the Common Good Fund which allows them to access funding of £6,000 per annum to cover revenue costs in relation to the Town hall for a period of 5 years.

 

Decision

 

The Executive Director of Customer Services determined by his representative, to award the group £6,000.

Kintyre Youth Fund Applications

Castlehill Primary School

Minutes:

The Trustees considered a Kintyre Youth Fund application from Castlehill Primary School.

 

Decision

 

The Executive Director of Customer Services determined by his representative, to award £200 to Castlehill Primary School.

Any Other Business

Minutes:

Discussion took place around how the Campbeltown Common Good Fund currently pays applicants.  The Area Committee Manager advised that the possibility of bank transfer is currently being looked into rather than the cheque process which can take up to 2 weeks for organisations to receive.

The Trustees noted the current position.
