Apologies

Minutes:

Apologies for absence were intimated by Councillor Rory Colville.

 

Having noted the absence of Councillor Colville, Shona Barton, Area Committee Manager advised that the Campbeltown Common Good Fund meeting was inquorate and as such was a consultation meeting. 

 

The Area Committee Manager further advised the remaining Ward 1 Members that following a decision made by the Council at the meeting on Thursday 25 June 2015, a delegation had been given to the Executive Director of Customer Services (or his representative) to determine applications in consultation with Ward 1 Members, and the decisions recorded are on that basis.

Declarations of Interest

Minutes:

Councillor Donald Kelly declared a non-financial interest in relation to the application for Kintyre Amenity Trust, which is dealt with at item 5(a) of this Minute, due to the reason that his son is a Director of the Company which provided the quote.

Minutes:

The Minute of the previous meeting held on 7 October 2015 was approved as a true record, subject to the amendment of the decision on Item 6(a) relating to the application from South Kintyre Development Trust as follows:-

 

Decision

 

The Executive Director of Customer Services determined by his representative to award the group £6,000.00 to be used to support the Revenue costs of the building, once the project had been completed.

Financial Statement - Accountant

Minutes:

Members considered a report detailing the current position of the investment transaction activity for the period.  Discussion took place in relation to the current layout of financial information, with the Area Committee Manager agreeing to seek clarity from the Accountant in relation to the stockbroker fees and to request that a simplified statement is provided going forward. 

 

Decision:

 

Members agreed to note the statement and balance of income available.

Common Good Fund Applications (Continued)

Having previously declared an interest in the following item, Councillor Kelly left the room and took no part in discussion of this item.

Kintyre Amenity Trust

Minutes:

Consideration was given to the information provided by Kintyre Amenity Trust in relation to the proposed repairs to the carpark. 

 

Decision:

 

The Executive Director of Customer Services determined by his representative, to agree to award the group £1,000.00. 

Councillor Kelly re-entered the meeting.

Common Good Fund Applications (New)

6a

Campbeltown Grammar School

Minutes:

Members gave consideration to the application from Campbeltown Grammar School.

 

Decision:

 

The Executive Director of Customer Services determined by his representative to award the school £1,500.00.

South Kintyre Development Trust

Minutes:

Members gave consideration to the application from South Kintyre Development Trust. 

 

Decision:

 

The Executive Director of Customer Services determined by his representative to award the group £2,000.00.
