The Panel resolved in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to exclude the public for the following item of business on the grounds that it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

To short leet applications for interview (closing date for applications 22 January 2010, copy of applications will be tabled)

The Chief Executive will outline for Members the interview process which will include an assessment centre prior to the Appointments Panel interviews on 1 and as necessary 5 February 2010.

CONSIDER APPLICATIONS AND DETERMINE SHORT LEET FOR INTERVIEW

A total of 55 applications were received in respect of this post and the Panel proceeded to assess the applications and determined a short leet of candidates for participation in the final selection process –

ARRANGEMENTS FOR FINAL INTERVIEWS

The Panel considered and endorsed the arrangements for the assessment centre and final interview stages of the selection process to be held on 1 and 5 February 2010.
