Apologies were intimated on behalf of Councillor Jim Lynch.  As per the decision of the Council at its meeting on 25 May 2022, Councillor Mark Irvine was appointed as a substitute Member and took his place to interview candidates for the post of Head of Financial Services. 

There were no declarations of interest intimated. 

The Panel resolved in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to exclude the press and public for the following item of business on the grounds that it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

The Panel interviewed applicants for the post of Head of Financial Services. 

Decision:

The Appointments Panel appointed Anne Blue to the post of Head of Financial Services, subject to receipt of suitable references.
