The Panel resolved in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to exclude the press and public for the following item of business on the grounds that it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

The Appointments Panel met to short leet applications as part of the Head of Children and Families (HSCP) recruitment process. 

 

Decision:

 

Two candidates were selected for invitation to the Assessment Centre and interview on 11 May 2021.

Consideration of Draft Panel Questions

Minutes:

The Panel gave consideration to a verbal update outlining topics and draft panel questions for the post of Head of Children and Families (HSCP). 

 

Decision

 

The Appointments Panel:-

 

1.    agreed the draft presentation topic; and

 

2.    agreed that the Head of Customer Support Services would send the draft panel questions to panel members prior to interview.

Summary of Appointments Process

Minutes:

The Appointments Panel gave consideration to the summary of appointments process.

 

Decision

 

The Appointments Panel:-

 

1.     agreed to note the summary of appointments process;

 

2.    agreed that there would be one stakeholder panel consisting of the Police, Education, NHS Highland, Third Sector Interface, a representative from the Child Poverty Action Group and a representative from CAMHS; and

 

3.    agreed to seek representatives as Care Experienced young people and/or CAMHS experienced young people if possible.
