It was noted that Councillor Gary Mulvaney would act as a substitute for Councillor Robin Currie on the Panel. 

There were no declarations of interest intimated. 

The Panel resolved in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to exclude the press and public for the following item of business on the grounds that it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

To short leet applications for interview

The Appointments Panel met to short leet applications as part of the Head of Finance and Transformation (HSCP) recruitment process. 

Decision:

Five candidates were selected for invitation to the Assessment Centre and Technical, Financial interview during the week beginning 19 April 2021.  Only those candidates meeting the required threshold will be invited for interview on 30 April 2021. 

The Panel gave consideration to a verbal update outlining the topic for presentation and draft panel questions for the post of Head of Finance and Transformation to the HSCP. 

Decision

It was agreed that the Head of Customer Support Services would provide the final version of the presentation question and a list of questions for panel members prior to interview.
