Prior to the consideration of any items of business, the Provost welcomed Councillor John Armour who Had been elected to the Council at the recent Kintyre South By-Election, to this his first meeting of the Council.

The Provost also welcomed Christina West, Chief Officer for the Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Integrated Partnership to her first meeting of the Council.

Apologies for absence were intimated by Councillors Corry, Devon, Kelly, Kinniburgh, MacDonald, D MacIntyre, N MacIntyre, MacLean, Mulvaney, Philand and Robb.

There were no declarations of interest intimated.

Report by Executive Director – Community Services

The Council considered a report which provided an update on progress to date on the implementation of the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act – and in particular to present the Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership Draft Integration Scheme for approval.

Decision

The Council:-

a)      Approved the draft Integration Scheme subject to any final amendments at the conclusion of the consultation period during December 2014.

b)      Authorised the Chief Executives of NHS Highland and Argyll and Bute Council to make any final changes to the draft Integration Scheme arising from the consultation prior to submission by 12 January 2015 to Scottish Government for approval.
