Report by Transformation Project Manager

The Area Committee considered a report which detailed funding applications which had been received from Inveraray Community Council and the Lochgilphead Christmas Lights Committee. Both these applications were considered to be competent, and in-line with the overall framework for the festive fund, they were both recommended for approval.

Motion

The Mid-Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands Area Committee approve the funding requests from Inveraray Community Council and the Lochgilphead Christmas Lights Committee.

Moved by Councillor Currie, seconded by Councillor MacMillan.

Amendment

The Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands Area Committee approve the funding requests from Inveraray Community Council and the Lochgilphead Christmas Lights Committee, and that the Committee requests a report on a site by site basis for the locations listed at paragraph 4.3 of the Festive Lighting Report on the costs of providing a safe plug-in connection for Christmas Lights.

Moved by Councillor Taylor, seconded by Councillor Philand.

A vote was taken by a show of hands. On there being an equality of votes the Chair gave this casting vote to the Motion and the Committee resolved accordingly.

Decision
