CIVIC GOVERNMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1982: APPLICATION FOR GRANT OF TAXI DRIVER LICENCE (G MCLEOD, DUMBARTON) Report by Head of Legal and Regulatory Support Minutes: The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting. Mr McMillan advised that the applicant, Mr McLeod, had contacted the licensing team to advise that he could not attend the hearing due to work commitments. He advised that Mr McLeod had submitted an email setting out his position in response to the objection by Police Scotland and that he wished the Committee to consider the email and continue the hearing in his absence. MOTION That the Committee continue consideration of the application to the next meeting of the Planning, Protective Services and Licensing Committee to allow the applicant to attend. Moved Councillor David Kinniburgh, seconded Councillor Jean Moffat. AMENDMENT That the Committee consider the application in the applicants absence. Moved Councillor George Freeman, seconded Councillor Sandy Taylor. DECISION On a show of hands vote the Motion was carried by 6 votes to 4 and the Committee resolved accordingly.
