CIVIC GOVERNMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1982: APPLICATION FOR AN ITINERANT METAL DEALER'S LICENCE (C GOURLAY, APPIN) Minutes: The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting and introductions were made. Thereafter he outlined the procedure that would be followed and invited the Applicant to speak in support of his Application. Applicant Mr Gourlay advised that he has been self employed for over 20 years and has been involved with recycling at Glensanda and Bonawe Quarries. He advised that he has also been involved in demolition work and that he was applying for an itinerant metal dealer’s licence as this would be an extension to the work he was currently involved with. The Chair invited Members to ask questions. Members’ Questions Councillor Freeman asked if this application was for a renewal of a licence and Mrs MacFadyen advised that this was a new application. Councillor Freeman referred to the Applicant’s SEPA licence expiring in June 2013 and asked if this would be renewed. Mr Gourlay confirmed that he would be renewing his SEPA licence in June. As there were no more questions the Chair asked the Applicant if he would like to sum up or if he was content with the Committee determining his Application. Mr Gourlay confirmed that he did not wish to sum up. Decision Agreed to grant an Itinerant Metal Dealer’s licence to Mr Gourlay. (Reference: Report by Head of Governance and Law, submitted) |
