placing data on the council website was underway and should be live soon with a
basic format to then be developed further.

report at the last meeting of the Bute and Cowal Area Committee.
Outcome
The Forum agreed to instruct Officers to present a Speed Survey report to the Bute and Cowal Area Committee and that Officers send a link of where the results could be located on the council website.

Confirmation was received that the revisits to
Cairndow, Oakbank at Sandbank and Kirn
had now been undertaken. The Forum were
advised that a report would be taken to a future Bute & Cowal Area Committee
setting out the findings of the surveys and that the Service had an intention
to post speed survey data on the Council’s website to enable communities to
self-serve.

Speed Surveys at Millhouse
had been completed while revisits would be required for Cairndow, Oakbank at Sandbank and Kirn.
The outstanding surveys would be undertaken when the equipment becomes available. This equipment is shared between Bute and Cowal and Helensburgh and Lomond

the results at Colintraive have merited any physical
improvements.
Carriageway
roundels and additional signage will be used to enhance the 30MPH “gateway” and
will be programme in the new financial year.
Outcome
The
Forum requested that their concerns around the type of speed survey used be
raised with Roads and Amenity Services. In particular the Forum wished to record dissatisfaction
regarding the lack of figures available on the range of speeds recorded
following a survey being conducted.

Farrell advised that he had not yet re-visited the area at the garden centre as
yet to redo the survey but would do so in view of the inclement weather during
one of the previous undertaken surveys.

was noted that a response regarding the recent speed survey would be sent to Cairndow Community Council from Kevin McIntosh.
The
Forum also noted ongoing speed surveys at Sandhaven,
Cot House Millhouse and that a request would be made
for a survey at Colintraive.
