A report providing a summary of the parking review process to date and the issues raised through the members workshop and informal public consultation, was considered.

The report also provided an overall programme for the implementation of any changes to the current arrangements and the associated statutory consultation process.

Decision

The Area Committee agreed:-

1. That the no waiting at any time restriction at the West Montrose Street/Sinclair Street junction is approved; and
2. That the 60 minute restriction for James Street and John Street is not progressed, however, that the bays and signs in both sections are marked correctly.  These locations would remain unrestricted in regards to permitted period of stay but vehicles would be required to park in marked bays.  Any vehicle out-with marked bays may be subject to Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs).
