A report providing Trustees with information relating to the cost of the purchase of Oban Common Good Fund banners was considered.

 

Decision

 

The Trustees:-

 

  1. Agreed to order 2 banners from Digital Kangaroo at a total cost of £208.80 including vat; and
  2. Agreed to encourage successful applicants to use the banner to help advertise the Oban Common Good Fund to allow other organisations to apply for funding.

The Trustees considered a new logo design from Digital Kangaroo.

 

Decision

 

The Trustees:-

 

1.    Agreed the new Oban Common Good Fund logo;

2.    Agreed to pay the outstanding invoice to Digital Kangaroo; and

3.    Agreed to look into the cost of 2 new Oban Common Good Fund banners.

Minutes:

The Area Governance Manager updated Trustees on the quotes she had received from the Communications Team for a banner and upgrade of the Oban Common Good Fund logo.  She confirmed that PD Sourcing from Falkirk had quoted £210 plus VAT for the logo to be upgraded to colour to make it stand out more and they quoted £50 for a banner.

 

The Trustees confirmed that they would prefer if the logo was done locally in CGL or Digital Kangaroo but were happy with the price for the banner.

 

Decision

 

1.    It was agreed that the Senior Area Committee Assistant would contact CGL and Digital Kangaroo for quotes for the Oban Common Good Fund logo and then emailed to the Fund for them to make a decision;

2.    It was agreed that this item be taken back to the August meeting; and

3.    It was agreed that another Oban Common Good Fund workshop be held before May 2017 to discuss the current criteria etc.

The Trustees considered four logo’s from the Council’s Communications Team.  The Trustees wished to explore in more depth, ideas for a new logo.

 

Decision

 

1.    Councillor MacDonald offered to design possible logos for the Oban Common Good Fund, which the Trustees agreed to, and this would be circulated to Trustees for comment before the next meeting in May;

2.    The Trustees asked the Area Governance Manager to explore costs of  two pop up banners, one with a colour photo of Oban and one with black and white stamp logo which can be used by organisations for publicity, and to bring those costs back to the next meeting in May;

3.    The Trustees agreed to add the wording “Investing in Our Community for over 100 years” and add the council website address to the application form.
