Matters arising

Councillor Aileen Morton drew attention to Item 8 of the previous Minute – Roads Revenue Budget and pointed out that no update had been received, as yet, in regards the remedial work to the Helensburgh Pier car park.

She also emphasised that the Guidance Note was still not on the Argyll and Bute Council website.

The Area Committee Manager confirmed that she would take these issues to the relevant officers for their review.

The Minute of the meeting held on 29 April 2016 was approved as a true record, subject to the following amendment:

Item 9 – Third Sector Grants

Councillor Corry declared a non-financial interest in relation to the Third Sector Grants application received from Route 81 due to his involvement as Director of Route 81 and took no part in discussion of this item.

Councillors, Dance, MacIntyre and Robb left the meeting during discussion of the applications they had declared an interest in.

Councillors, Dance, MacIntyre and Robb re-joined the meeting.

Page 3, Item 7 - Charity and Trust Funds

It was highlighted that the wording should be amended as follows:

Members gave consideration to a report which set out the estimated funding available for distribution of funds for the charities and trust funds in the four decentralised areas for 2015-16.

The Chair highlighted that there was no Agenda item listed for Public Questions and invited questions from the public in attendance.

There were no questions submitted.

Matters Arising

Page 4, Item 9 Roads Revenue Budget

The Chair highlighted that the Amenities Service Manager would provide more detail in regards the new Street Cleaning Machine. Mr McCracken advised that the Street Cleaning machine was operational, and, to date had provided 230 hours of early morning cleaning in Helensburgh Town Centre. In addition, a new electric machine had been purchased which was primarily being utilised to remove stains in the Town Centre area. Being an electric machine, it could only be used during dry weather and had provided 15 hours of usage to date.

Members questioned if a definitive rota would be put in place for the new machine in the Helensburgh and Lomond area. Mr McCracken pointed out that usage for the machine was in the early stages and, as yet, no firm rota had been developed.

Matters Arising

The Chair advised that the Roads Performance Manager would provide an update regarding the new street cleaning machine under Item 9 Roads Revenue Budget.
