Food and Healthy Weight
The Group heard an update and presentation on healthy weight
by Carol Muir, Senior Health Promotion Specialist – Community Development.
Decision
The Group noted the partnership working activity and the
contents of the paper in relation to healthy weight.

Reshaping Care for Older People
The Group heard a presentation from Caroline Henderson of NHS
Highland in regards to reshaping care for older people.
She spoke about the case for change, the strategic vision
and the development of Argyll and Bute.
Caroline advised she is willing to speak to communities
along with Shaun Paul Davidson, to give them more information on reshaping care
for older people.
Decision
The Group noted the information provided.

Ross of Mull and Iona Doctors
Caroline Henderson updated the Group on the current position
in Mull.
She advised that the NHS have successfully recruited GP’s
for 2 of the 3 surgeries in Mull and they are due to take up the posts in
October. There is ongoing discussion about the surgery in Bunessan
and how cover can be provided for that surgery.

The Group heard an
update and presentation on healthy weight by Carol Muir, Senior Health
Promotion Specialist – Community Development.
Further discussion followed and Carol Muir outlined another
initiative – Beyond the School Gate – whereby parents and teachers would try
and encourage children to eat healthier lunches.
