Report by Executive Director with responsibility for Development and Infrastructure

The Committee gave consideration to a report providing an update on the changes to the regulatory landscape within waste management and the impact and challenges this has on the Council.

Decision

The Environment, Development and Infrastructure Committee:

1.    noted the contents of the report;

2.    supported the application for exemption from the landfill ban at the landfill sites on Islay and Mull; and

3.    delegated authority to the Executive Director of Development and Infrastructure to apply for exemptions at Dalinlongart and Lingerton landfill sites if required.
