Issue - meetings

The Group considered an update from Fiona Baker, Destination Helensburgh, which included information around the aims of the organisation in promoting the Helensburgh and Lomond area and the ways in which this was being achieved; the organisation’s links and partnership working; the success of the Visitor Information Centre as a central point to access local information; and the synergies between the aims of Destination Helensburgh and the Argyll and Bute Outcome Improvement Plan (ABOIP).

Information was also provided in relation to the HELLO Winter and HELLO Adventure campaigns; the ongoing assessment of visitor numbers and demographics to inform future strategies and projects; and the level of outreach which had been achieved during the first six months of Destination Helensburgh’s operation.

Fiona advised that she would be happy to promote information provided by the Group through Destination Helensburgh’s social media channels.

Decision

The Helensburgh and Lomond Area Community Planning Group considered and noted the information provided.
