Report by Committee Manager, Argyll and Bute Council

The Group considered a report providing information relating to the appointment of a Chair and Vice-Chair of the Helensburgh and Lomond Area Community Planning Group and outlining the expected time commitment and information about the roles.

Decision

The Helensburgh and Lomond Area Community Planning Group agreed:

1. to appoint David Moore to the role of Chair of the Helensburgh and Lomond Area Community Planning Group; and
2. to appoint Sephton MacQuire to the role of Vice-Chair of the Helensburgh and Lomond Area Community Planning Group.

The Group considered a report providing information relating to the appointment of a Vice-Chair of the Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands Area Community Planning Group and outlining the expected time commitment and information about the role.

As there were no nominations for the role, it was agreed that the item would be continued to the next meeting of the Group and considered nearer the beginning of the agenda.

Shona Barton confirmed that contact would be made with members of the Group who may be interested in the role and that work around the creation of a video to assist with the recruitment of office bearers would also be progressed.

Decision

The Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands Area Community Planning Group agreed to continue consideration of the appointment of a Vice-Chair to the next meeting of the Group.

The Group considered a report providing information relating to the appointment of a Chair and Vice-Chair of the Helensburgh and Lomond Area Community Planning Group and outlining the expected time commitment and information about the roles.

Shona Barton confirmed that support was available for the roles, and they did not involve a large time commitment. Kirsty Moyes noted that there were a number of strong community partners involved in the Group, and encouraged anyone who may be interested to put themselves forward for the role.

As there were no suggested appointments for either role, it was agreed that this item would be continued to the next meeting of the Group.

Decision

The Helensburgh and Lomond Area Community Planning Group:

1.    agreed to continue the report seeking the appointment of a Chair and Vice-Chair to the next meeting of the Group; and

2.    noted that the Committee Manager would raise the issues around recruitment of a Chair and Vice-Chair at the next meeting of the Community Planning Partnership Management Committee.

The Group considered a report providing information relating to the appointment of a Vice-Chair of the Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands Area Community Planning Group and outlining the expected time commitment and information about the role.

As there were no nominations for the role, Shona Barton and Ian Brodie encouraged anyone with an interest in the position to get in touch with them following the meeting to discuss this in further detail.

The Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands Area Community Planning Group agreed to continue consideration of the appointment of a Vice-Chair to the next meeting of the Group.
