Report by Executive Director with Responsibility for Development and Economic Growth

The Committee gave consideration to a report which provided an update on the Housing Services activity within the Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands area.

Discussion took place in respect of the importance of people seeking housing being accommodated within their desired areas where possible; the work of the Care and Repair service; work being carried out in Helensburgh to repatriate young adults with additional housing needs to the Argyll and Bute area; the factors used to determine rates of fuel poverty; and the potential housing demand generated by Health and Social Care Partnership job vacancies. 

Decision

The Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands Area Committee agreed to note the contents of the report.
