Issue - meetings

The group gave consideration to a report by ALIenergy providing an update on education and skills development activity for Argyll and Bute Windfarm and Renewables Trust.

Discussion took place in respect of the STEM Journeys in Argyll and in particular to the development of a video, which will inform and encourage young local people that Argyll and Bute is a beautiful place to live and work, by showcasing an array of STEM careers locally.  Ms Jarvie of Scottish Power Renewables advised that they were keen to have a variety of people in different careers to take part in the video project.  The Chair advised that the Senior Committee Assistant would circulate the update to the MAKI ACPG making particular reference to the project and request that anyone interested in taking part should contact Dr Lynda Mitchell of ALIenergy directly.   Both Councillors Horn and Taylor agreed to circulate to their contacts also. 

Decision:

The Argyll and Bute Windfarm and Renewables Trust agreed to note the information provided.
