The Council gave consideration to a report advising the Housing Delivery Group had reviewed surplus sites in Lochgilphead, including the former Lochgilphead Primary School and Whitegates Offices, to assess their immediate housing potential. The report advised that officers had prioritised progressing their disposal to support regeneration and housing delivery, with authority delegated to the Executive Director for Commercial Services to proceed with this action.

Decision

The Council –

1.    noted the content of the submitted report; and

2.    noted that former Primary School and Whitegates sites would be disposed of by sale to a Registered Social Landlord for residential development.
