The Council gave consideration to a report presenting the new Performance and Improvement Framework which underpinned the Council’s new performance management system as it established the Council’s overarching, end-to-end approach to planning, performance management, reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement, ensuring delivery of Best Value and alignment to corporate priorities.

Decision

The Council –

1.     noted that the submitted report presented the new Performance and Improvement Framework (PIF) that underpinned the Council’s revised system for performance management;

2.     approved the adoption of the PIF as the final deliverable of the Performance Excellence Project; and

3.     agreed that the PIF would be applied corporately as the Council’s primary framework for performance management, improvement and public performance reporting.
