The Council gave consideration to a report seeking approval to develop a comprehensive parking strategy for Argyll and Bute, informed by previous reviews and existing evidence.

Decision

The Council –

1.     approved the development of a 10 year strategy for the Council’s parking services;

2.     agreed the strategic objectives and principles set out in paragraphs 5.6 and 5.10 of the submitted report; and

3.     agreed that a further report would be brought back to a future meeting of the Environment, Development and Infrastructure Committee with detailed proposals, including any required changes to Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs), tariffs, and operational delivery.
