Consideration was given by the Board to a report
which provided an update on ongoing initiatives to ensure compliance with the
Port Marine Safety Code. In particular the report highlighted the two main findings
outstanding from the Designated Person’s last audit report to be ‘Harbour
Regulations / Limits of Jurisdiction’ and ‘Pilotage in Campbeltown’.
Decision
The Argyll and Bute Harbour Board;

noted the report;
2.
considered the achievement of performance targets
in the Marine Safety Plan; and
3.
agreed to instruct Officers to promote the correct
usage of the traffic lights in Rothesay Harbour by circulating information to
clubs, also making them aware of the actions that can be taken in the event of
failing to comply with the regulations.
