If witnesses are being provided for you please write this on the form.<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.argyll-bute.gov.uk\/marriage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/2024-Witness-Information.pdf\"><strong>Additional Information and Witness Details<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Declaration of Status by Non UK Nationals<\/strong><\/h2><div class=\"col-md-9 col-main\"><p class=\"section-heading\">Anyone who is not a British Citizen must complete this form and submit along with your notice to marriage (M10). The Registrar will be unable to accept your notice to marriage without this form being completed.\u00a0 You may also be required to provide passport size photographs for both parties of the marriage.\u00a0 You should be aware that if you do not have the appropriate immigration status or the relevant visa for a marriage in the United Kingdom, your proposed marriage will be referred to the Home Office for investigation, which can result in a delay in your marriage taking place.\u00a0 If you are unsure if you are subject to immigration control please speak to your Registrar who can advise or contact the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/uk-visas-and-immigration\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/uk-visas-and-immigration\">Home Office<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 If this applies to you please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.argyll-bute.gov.uk\/marriage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Referral-to-Home-Office-leaflet.pdf\" data-cke-saved-href=\"\/marriage\/sites\/default\/files\/HO%20Leaflet%20Refer.pdf\">Home Office leaflet<\/a> for more information about\u00a0the referral and investigation scheme.<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.argyll-bute.gov.uk\/marriage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Declaration-of-Status-by-Non-UK-Nationals-Form-v2.0-November-2025.pdf\"><strong>Declaration of Status by Non UK Nationals form<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li>Provide proof of EU Settle Status<\/li><\/ul><\/div><p>To provide proof of your EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) you will need to provide a check code to the Registrar, this can either be done by emailing the code direct to the Registrar through the system or sending a note of the check code.\u00a0 This must be provided when submitting your M10 forms.\u00a0 If you are unable to provide proof of your EUSS then your marriage may be referred to the Home Office before it can take place.\u00a0 Please note a screen shot of your status is <strong>not<\/strong> acceptable.<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/view-prove-immigration-status\"><strong>View and prove your EU Settlement Status (gov.uk)<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Foreign Divorce Questionnaire<\/strong><\/h2><p>If you have had a divorce that has taken place outwith the United Kingdom you may be required to complete this additional information regarding your divorce. Your Registrar will advise you if you need to complete this form.<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.argyll-bute.gov.uk\/marriage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/ForeignDivorceQuestionnaire.pdf\"><strong>Download Foreign Divorce Questionnaire<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Proof of Address<\/strong><\/h2><p>When submitting your notice to marriage you will be required to provide proof of your permanent home address, please see list of acceptable documentation or speak to your Registrar.
