However, please note that fees\u00a0<em>are subject to change at any time throughout the year<\/em>. To make sure you\u2019re paying the correct amount, we recommend speaking with your local Registrar before you submit your marriage paperwork. They\u2019ll confirm the current fee and guide you through the next steps.<\/p><p><strong>Payment can be made by:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Debit or credit card<\/li><li>Cash<\/li><li>Bank transfer<\/li><li>Cheque (made payable to\u00a0<em>Argyll and Bute Council<\/em>)<\/li><\/ul><h2>Travel Costs<\/h2><p>If your ceremony is taking place at a venue other than a registration office, travel charges will apply.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Travel is charged at a flat rate of 60p per mile<\/strong>\u00a0(based on a round trip from the local registration office).<\/li><li><strong>Ferry fares<\/strong>, if required, will be added at standard return rates.<\/li><\/ul><p>For an exact travel fee for your ceremony location, please get in touch with your Registrar, they\u2019ll be happy to help.<\/p><h2>Running Late?<\/h2><p>We understand that sometimes things don\u2019t go exactly to plan.
