How will I be able to access 1140 hours?

Registration week will take place during March 2019.  You can register your child at your preferred choice of ELC Provider then.

Funded Local Authority Providers

52 local authority pre 5 units are attached to their local primary school and are managed by the Head Teacher.  Currently there are 22 settings across Argyll and Bute offering 1140 hours of funded ELC, with a further 13 settings scheduled to phase in 1140 hours starting in the next academic session in August 2019.

Funded Partner Providers

Funded Partner Providers work closely with local authority provision to offer parents different patterns of ELC delivery to meet their needs - this enables flexibility within the different clusters of ELC across Argyll and Bute.  Currently there are 4 settings across Argyll and Bute offering 1140 hours of funded ELC, with a further 12 settings scheduled to phase in 1140 hours starting in the next academic session in August 2019.

Funded Providers Childminders

There are currently 25 partner childminders who are currently commissioned by the local authority to provide ELC for eligible 2 year olds.

There are currently 14 childminders who are currently commissioned by the local authority to provide 1140 hours ELC for our 3 and 4 year olds.
