Funded Local Authority Providers
51 local authority pre 5 units are attached to their local primary school and are managed by the Head Teacher. There are 4 standalone local authority settings and one local authority outdoor nursery.
Funded Partner Providers
Funded Partner Providers work closely with local authority provision to offer parents different patterns of ELC delivery to meet their needs - this enables flexibility within the different clusters of ELC across Argyll and Bute.
Funded Providers Childminders
There are currently 25 partner childminders who are currently commissioned by the local authority to provide ELC for eligible 2 year olds.
There are currently 16 childminders who are currently commissioned by the local authority to provide 1140 hours ELC for our 3 and 4 year olds.
Childminders must have obtained Grades 4 and above from the Care Inspectorate - full details of registered childminders can be found here.
