Newly Self-employed Hardship Fund

Public holiday - Monday 28th September

While we are closed, the council’s website can be used as normal for reporting issues, making payments and sending enquiries. However, no action may be taken on some matters, like requests for support for people self-isolating, validation of planning applications and the processing of applications or enquiries, until we fully reopen on Tuesday 29th September.

Applications to the Coronavirus Newly Self-Employed Hardship Fund closed at 5pm on Friday 10th July 2020 and no new applications will be accepted after this time

The purpose of this fund is to provide hardship relief to newly self-employed individuals who have not been able to access support through other schemes or have exhausted all other avenues for business support.

Successful applicants will receive a one-off payment of £2,000. If you receive the grant you can continue to work or take on other employment including voluntary work.
