The Country Council

Argyll and Bute Council and partners in ‘The Country Council’

The first of three episodes of BBC Scotland’s ‘The Country Council’ is on television on Thursday night (19th) at 9pm.

Argyll and Bute Council is geographically Scotland’s second largest council area with the highest number of inhabited islands.

As well as stunning shots of Argyll and Bute, the programme provides an insight into the every-day challenges our employees face in their work to help our residents and communities.

We took the opportunity to appear in the series to showcase Argyll and Bute as a great place to live, learn, work and do business, and, at a time of particular challenge, to highlight the vital role of councils and our partners in people’s lives.

Argyll and Bute is an area to be proud of, with people working hard to deliver services now and build success for the future.

We hope you enjoy the series.
