In partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions, Tell Us Once makes it easier for people to tell central and local government services about a birth or a death. This means that you will only have to give details once instead of having to repeat the same information to a number of different agencies and departments.
When people register a birth or a death they usually also have to inform a wide range of other government services. This can sometimes be time consuming, difficult and stressful. From council tax and blue badges to HM Revenue and Customs and the Electoral Registration Service, Tell Us Once means people can choose to provide information which the Registrar will pass securely to relevant services or external agencies.
If you want to use this optional service you can make an appointment with your local Registrar when you register a birth or death.
