We provide a service across MAKI with the Dochas team delivering a service in different areas such as Kintyre, Islay and Jura as well as Mid Argyll. We are available 10-4pm Monday to Friday. We provide a service to unpaid adult carers across MAKI and have three teams - support -outreach worker team- trained counselling team and a volunteer befriending team.
We will be maintaining regular contact with carers via telephone. However, we are also keen to hear from anyone in a caring role who is needing support. Our website and facebook pages will be updated regularly with information and advice.

If you are self-isolating during this time and have no way getting your shopping we can help.
If you are worried and perhaps would appreciate a phone call to update you on the situation and what is occurring in your village, or just to hear the sound of another voice, we can help. If you require shopping our volunteers will bring it to your door and leave it on the doorstep. They will ensure you have picked it up before leaving.

Free and confidential support about alcohol, drugs and mental health
Due to government guidelines regarding COVID-19, we are unable to
offer face-to-face services, however  We Are With You can offer support over the phone, via video calls and
virtual group work sessions.
We are still taking referrals, if you are worried about your substance use or are
worried about someone else’s. Please contact your local service on the numbers
below and a member of staff will be available to discuss your needs.
We offer a range of IEP/Needle exchange services across
Argyll & Bute and assisting with medicine deliveries where needed. This can be offered via postal service or collection at a place of
West Coast, we can work with local communities and offer a delivery service for those most vulnerable. This is an area we expect to further develop as more people self-isolate and to reduce the growing pressure on local pharmacists and food shops. If you feel this is something we can do in your community get in touch with your local depot.
