A conference was held in Lochgilphead in March 2012, aimed at charities, social enterprises, and community groups, and focussed on non-grant methods of funding. The topics on the day included valuing volunteers and donors, renewables, tax breaks and wills, sponsorship and generating income through social enterprise and social media.
The event was attended by more than 100 people from across Argyll and Bute, with many joining in from the islands using video conferencing facilities.
