Local people in Rothesay are being invited into Rothesay Library to meet the new Macmillan Information and Support Service team and help plan the layout of the new service.
From January, weekly drop-in sessions will be held in the new Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service in Rothesay Library to provide much needed information and support for local people affected by cancer.
The new service has been created by an innovative partnership between Macmillan Cancer Support, Argyll and Bute Council, Argyll Voluntary Action and NHS Highland after research identified a need for people to access quality cancer information and emotional support in the local community.
Locals are invited into the library on Tuesday December 3 between 3.30pm and 7pm or on Wednesday 4 December between 10am and 12pm. Attends can meet the service staff, which includes Service Manager Deirdre Henderson and Volunteer Co-ordinator Chris Holden and contribute your views on how the health and wellbeing area should be laid out, as well as find out more about the service which is due to start in January 2014.
