Showing of Euro 2020 Knock-Out Stages – 26th June To 11th July
Relaxation to Closing Times
The Scottish Government provides the following guidance on a relaxation to closing times for those licensed premises showing Euro 2020 matches covering the periods of extra time and penalties -
“In respect of the potential for Euro matches in the knockout stages to reach beyond current closing times in Level 2 (22:30) and Level 1 (23:00) due to extra time and penalties, it has been agreed as a temporary measure between 26th June and 11th July that premises may extend closing time up to 23:30 where required to facilitate viewing of the whole game and safe departure of patrons thereafter.”
Notes
- This relaxation to closing times affects only those premises showing Euro 2020
- There is no other relaxation to restrictions for Euro 2020 in Level 1 and Level 2
- This relaxation only comes into effect where a game is being played into extra time (and to penalties if it goes that far)
- Premises must close at the conclusion of the match or 23:30 whichever is earlier.
