Focus on: invitation to join our citizens’ panel
Argyll and Bute Council is inviting residents across the area to join our Citizens’ Panel.
Panel Members will receive surveys by email seeking their views on different aspects of the work of the Council, and its partners, with the information being used to shape the services delivered.

The national childhood flu immunisation programme is now underway.
Parents are being encouraged to join the fight against flu this winter, by ensuring children aged 2 -5 get their flu vaccination.
Our apprentice wins Apprentice of the Year Award : Steven Simpson, a modern apprentice from Argyll and Bute Council, has won the coveted Scottish Training Federation (STF) Apprentice of the Year Award.
Freedom of Argyll and Bute for Paralympic wheelchair tennis star Gordon Reid : the council has agreed to hold the special meeting necessary to approve a recommendation that wheelchair tennis player Gordon Reid be awarded the Freedom of Argyll and Bute.
Support expressed for British Army reserve unit in Lochgilphead : the council is supportive of British Army plans to base a reserve unit in Lochgilphead.
Argyll Enterprise Week – during Argyll Enterprise Week taster sessions will be running. These are informal 45 minute sessions featuring a short presentation on the free help available followed by a Q&A.
Procurement and Commissioning Strategy and Sustainable Procurement Policy : the Council Procurement Strategy 2016/17-2017/18 will set out a framework which is designed to enable the Council to continue on its journey of change and innovation
Local development plan (2): Landowners and prospective developers are invited to put forward the sites for which they have an aspiration for development and potential inclusion in the Local Development Plan 2 for consideration by the planning authority
The Community Learning and Development (CLD) Plan: This plan allows members of the public to find out about the CLD work going on in communities around Argyll and Bute.
