Tarbert Flood Risk Prevention Project

Tarbert Flood Risk Prevention Project

Thank you for your comments on the Tarbert Flood Risk Prevention Project. Your input will help inform the final phase of the coastal flood study to identify a preferred flood scheme solution for Tarbert, which may be then presented for consideration by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency and the Scottish Government. We will keep you up to date on the next step of the process.

Consultation Background

As part of the Local Flood Risk Management Plan, Argyll and Bute Council and its consultant advisers (AECOM), are progressing the coastal flood study for Tarbert to assess future flood risk and identify solutions to address this flood risk that will be best suited to the town and its residents.

The second in a series of Public Consultation drop-in events was held in Tarbert Village Hall, (Main Hall) on Thursday the 23rd of May 2019 between 4pm and 8pm.  The second drop-in event was an opportunity for informal discussion around the potential short list of sustainable flood defences solutions that have been identified by AECOM as well as a chance to share local flood knowledge. We thank you for your participation. You can read your feedback from the event here.
