Gibraltar Street Oban

This consultation closed on 29th June - thank you to everyone who gave us their views

Argyll and Bute Council has commissioned TGP Landscape Architects to design a new public realm for Gibraltar Street, Oban (the pedestrian link between the town centre and Tesco).

A public consultation took place on the site of Gibraltar Street on 9 June 2022, to gather views on its current use and to present initial design options.

The vision behind the public realm improvement is to provide a bright, contemporary gateway into the town centre, improve access and encouraging people to shop local. TGP Landscape Architects have undertaken an extensive review of the site and are now ready to present design options for your comment.

There is also an opportunity to comment on the design options online by clicking on the link below.

The consultation will be open until 29 June 2022 and should take around 10 minutes to complete.

This project is funded from the Scottish Government’s Place Based Investment Programme including a £10k contribution from Bid4Oban.
