The COVID-19 pandemic has created a national health emergency unlike anything any of us have seen before. As part of the recovery of our high streets, Argyll and Bute Council has successfully applied for funding from the Scottish Government to support the temporary reallocation of the limited space within our town centres to help everyone socially distance and create space in our high streets. This funding is from the Scottish Government’s Spaces for People programme administered by SUSTRANS. We hope this will help shops and businesses as they continue to trade in challenging conditions and everyone to feel confident that they can visit our high streets safely.
We have been working to develop proposals for temporary changes to our town centre streets, when guidelines permit, which we think can help everyone to visit and shop in our town centres while observing social distancing and staying safe and healthy.
A number of proposals have been developed for Dunoon Town Centre, and we are keen to receive the views of local businesses on these proposals before deciding if any should be implemented.
This survey will close on 21 February 2021 and should take around 10 minutes to complete. Please answer every question to move on to the next page.
