Allotment Regulations Consultation
This consultation is now closed and thank you for taking part. We have now analysed your feedback and you can read it here in our You Said, We Did report.
Your feedback has been essential and has helped us set our Allotment Regulations here which you can read here.
Argyll and Bute Council is committed to encouraging and empowering people to grow their own food and have set out our ambitions in a draft Community Food Growing strategy which can be accessed here.
In support of this ambition we consulted on proposed Allotment Regulations which will form part of the guidance and legal framework to promote and encourage community empowerment and participation in growing food. This is a requirement to meet our statutory duty under part 9 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.
We recognised that there is a great deal of interest, knowledge and expertise in community food growing across Argyll and Bute and through this consultation we were keen to receive feedback from communities, individuals and groups. Please read our draft Regulations which we consulted on below:
The public consultation on the Allotment Regulations ran from 24 January 2020 until 21 February 2020.
