The overall purpose of the Service is to support long lasting projects that make a difference to the lives of those in Argyll and Bute. This is done by working in partnership with communities and organisations focussing on a range of outcomes within the Argyll and Bute’s Outcome Improvement Plan (ABOIP). The Service provides the overall management, development and delivery of Community Planning in Argyll and Bute. The focus of the Community Planning Partnership is on strategic and local partnership working to add value and address gaps and inequalities. Advice and support is provided to community groups across Argyll and Bute to help develop strong and sustainable local community led impact. This work is adaptable to local need and includes advice, signposting and support with funding, training, confidence building, engagement and local action plans. Managing and distributing the Supporting Communities Fund is also a key function of the Service.
