Oban Airport will be open normal hours but closed on Christmas Day, Boxing day, Hogmanay and New Years Day
A telephone service will be available via the Customer Service Centre for the following services from 9.30am to 1pm on Monday 24th, Friday 28th and Monday 31st December:

For out of hours emergencies, the normal arrangements apply and contact details can be found at www.argyll-bute.gov.uk/emergency-contact-numbers
Regulatory Services (Environmental Health, Animal Health and Trading Standards) will respond only to emergency situations where there is a risk to public health and will not provide any other service over the Christmas Period. Emergencies can be notified via the Customer Service Centre.
If you need to contact the council by telephone during the holiday period and are not sure what number to use, the switchboard/general enquiries line – 01546 605522 – has recorded information to help you find what you are looking for.
The council’s website can be used as normal for reporting issues, making payments and sending enquiries. However, no action may be taken on some matters, like validation of planning applications and the processing of certain other applications or enquiries, until council offices fully reopen on Thursday 3rd January 2018.
Bin collections and recycling centres
There may be changes to your scheduled rubbish and recycling collection dates over the Christmas and New Year period - please check the festive bin arrangments page for any changes in your area. Some bin collections are being made earlier than scheduled, so please check carefully to make sure you don't miss your amended collection date
Customer Service Points and Registration Offices will close at 4pm on Friday 21st December 2018 (except for Rothesay Service Point which closes at 12.30pm) and re-open at 9am on Thursday 3rd January 2019.
Death registration appointments can be made for Campbeltown, Dunoon, Helensburgh, Lochgilphead and Oban by telephoning between 9am and 10am on Monday 24th December 2018 or between 9am and 12.30pm on Friday 28th December 2018 or between 9am and 10am on Monday 31st December 2018.
Local funeral directors may assist arranging appointments outwith these times.
Emergency registration arrangements for Islay, Mull, Rothesay and Tiree will be displayed on local Service Point notice boards. For Coll, Jura, Colonsay and Kilfinichen and Kilvickeon please contact your local Registrar.
