THI and CARS grants have part funded a range of works in Campbeltown Town Centre.
In an age where sustainability is a word on everyone's lips, it makes sense to retain as much historic fabric as possible when repairing an old building and, by doing so, the building's historic integrity is maintained too. The THI scheme actively encourages this approach which also helps keep alive traditional craft skills such as joinery and carpentry, plumbing, plastering, glazing, painting and masonry.
Here are some examples of other works that took place as part of the THI and CARS projects:
St Kierans Church Hall railings - before and after
Castlehill Mansions railings - before and after
Ferry terminal signage - before and after
37 - 41 Main Street and 5 Kirk Street roof repairs
Cross Street and Union Street gutter repairs
