The use of colour is bold, using a limited, warm colour palette including hot pinks and purples.<\/p><h2>About the artist<\/h2><p>Sir Robin Philipson RA RSA FRSE RSW (born Lancashire, 1916 1992) studied and taught at Edinburgh College of Art. He is known for his expressive use of paint, often using heavy impasto and bold colour.
