About the artist
Robert MacBryde (born Maybole, Ayrshire, 1913-1966) studied at Glasgow School of Art. Still-life and figure painter, and theatre set designer. His life and work are inextricably linked with the artist Robert Colquhoun, who he met at Glasgow School of Art. They were collectively known as the two Roberts .
